What this section does
Every event has a public page anyone can open at croquettools.com/tournaments/<year>/<slug> — no login. It's created automatically and always shows the event name, country and dates; everything else — players, schedule, brackets — stays hidden until you turn it on here. A short setup wizard walks new events through the choices; every toggle saves instantly and can be changed at any time.
The link
- Copy link — the public URL, built from the event name and year.
- Edit URL — change the slug (with a live availability check). Changing the URL is safe: any link you've already shared automatically redirects to the new one.
- Copy preview link — a secret preview URL that shows the page exactly as your current toggles have it, no login needed. On a test event the public link doesn't open for anyone else, so this is how organisers preview it.
What's public
- Listed in the public directory — whether the event appears on the public Tournaments page. On a test event this shows ● Listed — paused while test: the switch decides what happens the moment Test is turned off on Details.
- Registration — lists the event as open for registration and shows the Registration section.
- Details — your free-form Home sections (edited below), with an optional "Jump to" link row.
- Players — the field/draw: names, seeds, dGrades. Sub-choices: show players with blocks and competitions, or players only (the "draw is public" switch); show or hide dGrades; and an optional rich-text Notice at the top of the tab.
- Schedule — the day-by-day order of play, with its own show/hide for pairings & times and its own Notice.
- Swiss board — (Swiss competitions) a settings block rather than a switch: the live board shows on the Scores tab, and here you set an optional "show waiting times" and a Notice ("No new games after 4pm").
- Knockouts — the bracket, with a Notice.
- Winners — a trophy card at the top of the page saying who won. Show when the event is over waits until the day after your end date, so a winner decided on the final morning isn't published before the last game; Show now publishes immediately, for announcing from the prize-giving. Winners come from the results — whoever won each knockout final, and whoever finished 1st in a single-block or Swiss competition. A competition that ended level shows nothing until you settle it on Scoring.

The Scores tab appears whenever Players is on — it shows "No scores recorded yet" until results are entered, so the roster stays private until you publish the field.
Registration details
Fill in only what you have — blank fields are hidden. Cost, Registration deadline (the Registration section turns itself off the day after), Registration link, Contact name / email, Host club(s), and a rich-text Event details body with additional sections as needed.
Header, notices and home sections
- Header — an optional logo, a title (defaults to the event name) and a subtitle.
- 📣 Priority notice — a red banner at the very top of Home, above everything. For time-critical news: a rain delay, a venue change. Leave blank to hide.
- Home sections — build the Home tab from + Text, + Location (club search with a map pin) and + Image blocks; reorder, hide or remove each.
